The "agitated" hawk was caught around 6:30 p.m. near the 2200 block of East Main Street in Bridgeport by a DEEP Conservation officer and taken to safety, said City Spokeswoman Rowena White.
The first report of the angry bird came in around 9:50 a.m., Tuesday when a man sustained undisclosed injuries by the hawk, said White.
Another man was injured later in the evening and admitted themselves to Bridgeport Hospital for treatment, she said.
The Bridgeport Emergency Operations Center dispatch received five additional complaint calls beginning around 5 p.m., she added.
The city's animal control officer responded to the scene and reached out to Beardsley Zoo professionals and DEEP officials for help.
White did not know where the hawk had moved to or if there was a nest.
